Every act of kindness is a beacon of hope for the children facing serious illnesses under Rachel House’s care. Tutor Time Pluit, a dedicated preschool and kindergarten, embodies this spirit of generosity that transforms into the heartbeat that sustains and supports our journey in palliative care.

For Tutor Time Pluit, generosity is more than a value — it is a way of life. A steadfast supporter of Rachel House for close to a decade, Tutor Time Pluit’s commitment goes beyond academics, instilling values of empathy, compassion, and solidarity in its students. These lessons enrich young hearts and directly impact children in need, making a profound difference in their lives.

Charity Events: A Season of Compassion

From October to December 2024, Tutor Time Pluit organized a series of charity events to support Rachel House’s palliative care service. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from teachers, students, and parents alike.

United Nations Day Celebration: A Cultural Feast

In October, the UN Day Celebration brought together the community for a delightful bazaar featuring dishes from diverse cultures. Each meal was infused with love, reinforcing solidarity for the children served by Rachel House. The event also included a vibrant fashion show where students showcased traditional attire, fostering cultural appreciation and community spirit.

Save the Earth: Nurturing the Planet, Nurturing Lives

November “Save the Earth” theme emphasized environmental stewardship with an eco-friendly fashion show, where children showcased outfits made from recycled materials like detergent wrappers, fabric scraps, and newspapers. This creative effort not only brought smiles but also raised awareness about sustainability. The highlight was a Christmas Tree Auction, where beautifully crafted trees made from recycled materials were eagerly bid by parents, further supporting Rachel House.

Fun Run: Running for Hope and Joy

December culminated in the Fun Run, where families laced up their shoes to champion a meaningful cause. From early morning, joy filled the air as teachers, parents, and students arrived in delightful costumes, ranging from Pokémon characters to Santa Claus, to take part in the run. Rachel House expressed heartfelt gratitude to Tutor Time Pluit community, captured in a memorable group photo.

The atmosphere during the Fun Run was electric yet warm. Families shared laughter, determination, and joy as they ran and played together for a purpose. This Fun Run was the perfect conclusion to the year’s Charity Events, bringing not only donations to Rachel House but also values and memories that will last a lifetime for the entire Tutor Time Pluit community.
