Our aim is to build a network of volunteers to partner our multidisciplinary team of doctors and nurses to add life to the children’s remaining days. Through this volunteer program, we hope to emphasize the spirit of giving and sharing,, a core belief at Rachel House.
Our activities mostly run in week days and during office hours (unless there are emergency situation with patients). Therefore to ensure sustainability and smooth communication with our team, we prefer to welcome volunteers with availability during office hours on week days.

1. Fundraising Champion
Are you passionate about giving back to society, looking to contribute your skills and your time for the good of the community? Would you like to share this gift of love to help children in need?
A little love goes a long way! We are looking for an energetic individual with a love and enthusiasm to meet people, to join us at Rachel House and volunteer to be our Fundraising Champion.
Come share your love, your skills and time with us in any or all of the following activities (and much more):
- Charity bazaars and special events – opportunities for us to sell Rachel House merchandise, and importantly spread awareness of our service;
- School and Embassy events – where we can identify opportunities to pitch for help, assistance and garner donations to support our work;
- Identify awesome opportunities to present our work, to corporates, individuals, groups and associations to boldly announce the important role of palliative care in the lives of the children we serve.
Examples of the help and support our fundraising team needs include:
- Identify, prepare and participate in local/community fundraising bazaars and awareness events;
- Manning a stall at events, putting up posters and handing out flyers;
- Delivering presentations at schools to raise awareness;
- Attending donation presentations
- Approach schools, organisations, individuals for sponsorship and donations
2. Fundraising Campaigner
Are you passionate about driving change and mobilizing your network for a meaningful cause? Step up as a Fundraising Campaigner and lead powerful campaigns that directly support our mission.
We’re looking for energetic, creative, and community-driven individuals to launch and promote fundraising efforts across platforms like GlobalGiving, GoFundMe, Instagram, and/or through community-based events.
Description of Activities:
- Create and manage fundraising campaigns on platforms such as KitaBisa, GlobalGiving, GoFundMe, etc
- Use Instagram and other social media channels to tell stories, share progress, and inspire donations
- Organize or support local events (e.g., charity sales, donation drives, awareness booths) to raise funds and visibility
- Collaborate with our team to craft campaign content (photos, videos, captions, updates)
Requirements:
- Comfortable using social media and digital fundraising tools
- Creative thinker with strong storytelling and communication skills
- Self-driven and organized; ability to lead a campaign with minimal supervision, and interest to invite people to join the campaign & to donate
- Minimum campaign duration: 4–6 weeks
- Estimated time: 2–3 hours per week

3. English Teacher (in person)
Are you passionate about making a difference and eager to share your language skills for the greater good? We’re looking for a dedicated volunteer English teacher to help enhance our Clinical team’s communication abilities.
Description of Activities:
- Conduct in-person English classes every Wednesday
- Lead a 1.5 to 2-hour session focused on conversational English, basic grammar, and workplace communication
- Minimum commitment of 3 months
Requirements:
- Basic English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is a plus but not mandatory

4. Writer (in person)
Description of Activities:
- To write stories about our work and the patients we care for, to be published at Rachel House’s website & crowdfunding platform.
Requirements:
- Experience and skills in writing, in Bahasa and English.
- Interest in writing about social issues.
5. Photographer and/or Videographer
- To document Rachel House’s activities in photos and videos.
- To edit and collate photos and videos for promotional purposes.
- Experience and skills in photography, videography, and editing.
- Impeccable skills in producing photos and/or videos that show subjects in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Commitment to principles of child protection.
6. IT/ Tech Support
- To assist the Rachel House team in managing their IT systems, including rapid troubleshooting of problems.
- To support the smooth operation and maintenance of the Rachel House website.
- To work with Rachel House to maximise the use of Google Foundation Ad grants.
- To maximise the SEO indexing and organic search capacity of the Rachel House website.
- Remote volunteering is welcome.
- Working experience in IT, web design or UI/UX design.
- Willingness to help troubleshoot IT issues in a timely manner.
- Prior experience with Google Ads or SEO.
