Established in 2006 as a non-profit organisation, Rachel House is the first pediatric palliative care service in Indonesia. While its main service is to provide home-based palliative care for children from the marginalised communities living with cancer or HIV, Rachel House actively provides palliative care training to medical professionals as well as community volunteers, to help ensure that palliative care is available and accessible by everyone living with life-limiting conditions in Indonesia.
To never see a child live or die in pain.
To help ensure palliative care is available for children living with life-threatening conditions, allowing them to live with joy and dignity in a non-discriminatory, safe and loving environment.
We believe in:
– The right of all children to be loved and cared for
– Ensuring a safe environment for families to care for their children
– Providing and maintaining the highest clinical standards of care
– Ethical behaviour in all aspects of clinical, physical, emotional and spiritual care
